Launched in 2025 from a bold student vision, SQC didn't just coordinate clubs, it created them. Before SQC, our college had passion and potential, but no structured spaces for students to channel their energy. We changed that.

When I look back at the early days at MIT Nepal, what I remember most isn’t a lack of talent — it’s a lack of space. Students had ambition. They had ideas. They stayed late, they talked in corridors, they dreamed out loud. But there was no real structure to hold any of it. No home for their energy to grow into something lasting.
That’s what kept me up at night, honestly. Not the absence of potential, but the absence of opportunity.
SQC was born from that realization. Not from a top-down directive or a policy document — but from a genuine belief that students deserve more than just a curriculum. They deserve mentorship. They deserve a platform. They deserve to feel that what they do here, in these years, actually matters.
My role has never been to lead SQC from the front — it’s been to stand behind it, to make sure it doesn’t stumble when things get hard, and to remind every student involved that they are capable of far more than they realize. Being a mentor means being honest even when it’s uncomfortable. Being a guardian means protecting the vision even when momentum slows.
What SQC has built — six clubs, hundreds of students, a culture of ownership and initiative — didn’t happen by accident. It happened because young people were given the trust and the tools to rise. I am proud not of what I gave them, but of what they became when given the chance.
If you are reading this as a new student, know this: college is short. Don’t spend it waiting for permission to become who you already are.
